Youth Group
At Grace, ministry to our youth is a priority. There are youth activities for both Middle School and High School students. Each summer our High School youth have the opportunity to attend one of the Higher Things Lutheran Youth Conferences (see www.HigherThings.org). We also offer a four day/ three night Lutheran Valley Retreat (see www.LVR.org) near Woodland Park Colorado for a special “Catechism Commando” camp. At LVR Catechism Commando camp we have all the fun camp activities led by the camp staff and in addition LCMS pastors teach on one of the Six Chief parts of the Small Catechism. LVR Catechism Commando camp is open to kids 10-18. In the fall we often attend a weekend Youth retreat at one of the LCMS Student centers located at the University of Colorado or the University of Wyoming. We also have monthly activities that include fun, fellowship, worship, service to others, and learning.
Grounding our youth in the Christian Faith, teaching them to serve and love others as Christ loves and serves us, and helping them to become active supporting members of the congregation is our mission. Helping young people engage in the Divine Service by teaching them to participate in the historic Liturgies of the Church is vital to their growth in the Christian Faith.
